Nadine Coyle Subtitled For US TV

Even in England she's sometimes been mocked for her heavy and sometimes hard to understand northern Irish accent.
But it appears Nadine Coyle can't make herself understood in America at all if her latest television appearance is anything to go by.
The Girls Aloud star had to have subtitles across the screen during her recent slot as a guest judge on America's Next Top Model so the baffled audience could comprehend what she was talking about.

The 26-year-old singer, who hails from Derry in Northern Ireland, was brought in to join Tyra Banks on the panel of the programme, along with a number of other experts.
But whenever she speaks to the model wannabes some large white text is plastered across half of the screen to spell out what the singer is actually saying.
And it's not the first time her accent has come into question.

Baffled audiences: The Irish singer's heavy accent was too difficult to understand
During a chat on British television with Jonathan Ross in 2008 he joked that he was unable to understand her.

Stateside: She has made a life for herself in America since going on hiatus from Girls Aloud
Although she is not the first British celebrity to struggle to make audiences understand them Stateside.
Nadine's bandmate Cheryl Cole encountered difficulty when she transferred to the US version of The X Factor.
She avoided having to have subtitles but show chiefs reportedly struggled to understand her Newcastle accent.
And it is thought her twang could be part of the reason she was swiftly dumped from the show for American pop star Nicole Scherzinger.
Scottish sensation Susan Boyle also encountered difficulty when she appeared on Oprah Winfrey's chat show for the first time in 2009.
The Britain's Got Talent star was subtitled during the appearance before audiences had become accustomed to her spoken voice.
While Nadine has been busying building a life for herself in the States, she recently visited London, where it is thought she was holding discussions about reuniting with her Girls Aloud bandmates.
It was revealed last week that Nadine had met with Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Sarah Harding and Nicola Roberts secretly at a London hotel.
It was reportedly to organise the Girls Aloud comeback tour and iron out any problems with Nadine, who has been cut off from the rest of the group since they last performed together in 2009, The Sun reported.
A source said: 'The girls have been trying to organise a meeting for months but have been so busy with solo projects.

Nadine joined Tyra Banks as a special guest on America's Next Top Model, in which half the aspiring models are British and half are American.

Mentoring the Brits through a music video challenge, Nadine offered expert tips and guidance but ANTM bosses insisted on subtitling her advice in order to help US viewers understand her Irish brogue.

It's not the first time a British star has had problems Stateside. Singing sensation Susan Boyle was briefly subtitled when she appeared on Oprah Winfrey, allowing audiences to grow accustomed to her accent.

There was also rumoured to be some concern about Cheryl Cole's Geordie twang prior to her debut on The X Factor USA.

Thankfully, Nadine will have no such problem with her bandmates. She recently reunited with Girls Aloud in London where it is thought the long-awaited comeback tour was discussed.
