Courtney Love Is Very Happy Her Daughter Never Got A Nose Job

Courtney Love had to fill in for Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil at an launch event for New York Fashion Week on Tuesday (September 6).

Neil fell sick and as a result lost his voice, rendering him unable to perform at the One Model Management 10th anniversary party at the Hiro Ballroom. Courtney Love and Hole were able to step in and the show saw Love dedicate the song 'Skinny Little Bitch' to her 19 year old daughter Frances Bean Cobain.

Love said Cobain was “my fucking only child” reports Contact Music, before adding, "I'm so glad she didn't get that nose job".

The two women have had a tempestuous relationship, with Cobain – whose father is the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain – under the guardianship of Kurt's mother since 2009 after she fell out with her mother.

Love took the stage with her band and the very special addition of One founder and president Scott Lipps playing the drums. Lipps, she promised, was “a fucking amazing drummer.” She then asked for a guitar “and some red wine” but “just half a cup.” (She later asked for the other half of that glass of wine, and drank it.)
Sadly, according to our decidedly non-scientific estimate, at least a quarter of the crowd was still gestating when Live Through This came out and another quarter was far more concerned with looking cool than paying attention to any sort of actually cool things that may be occurring, which left, at most, half of the crowd to cheer, and clap, and scream along to “Violet” and “Miss World”, both of which were (despite her protestations) duly and wonderfully raspily sung by Love.
Love performed for over an hour (including two Rolling Stones covers), though her inter-song banter was almost as entertaining as singing. “How beautiful is my daughter?” she asked the crowd. “Did you see that photoshoot from, like, last week? I’m so glad she never got that nose job.”
But perhaps the most fashion-y moment of the night came towards the end, when Love began coquettishly unbuttoning her black vest. “So, my first piece of swag,” she began. “Was this vest by Calvin Klein. 1990.” She paused to pull it open. “It still fits.”
And for that, at least half the crowd cheered.
