'Sister Wives' baby born welcomes 17th child (Photos)

When you have 16 brothers and sisters, four moms and a dad, it takes some time to meet everyone.

Baby Solomon – born on Wednesday to polygamist reality television stars Kody Brown, 43, and his newest (and fourth) wife Robyn, 33, was welcomed by Brown's three other wives and their blended family of 16 kids, who celebrated the at-home birth as one big happy family.

Brown's first wife, Meri, and their daughter, Mariah, 16, were among the first to arrive after Solomon was born.

"Mariah picked up Solomon and just started crying with joy," says Brown. "My second daughter was holding my newest boy and it was beautiful ... And the rest of the family got to come. It was wonderful."

The Brown family's unconventional lifestyle is featured on the TLC reality show Sister Wives and Robyn, who has three children – Dayton, 11, Aurora, 9, and Breanna, 7 – from a previous marriage, spoke about the new experience of welcoming a baby into a family with sister wives and so many other children.

"Having everyone come in and fall in love with him was just heartwarming," she says. "Who doesn't want to know that their child is loved by a whole big family? I had all these kids come in and moms falling in love with him. He has a list 21 deep of people loving him. There is not a lack of love."

Kody Brown, pictured here next to Robyn and their son Solomon, found particular joy in making the introductions between the newborn and his 16 siblings. Here the 43-year-old describes first wife Meri and their 16-year-old daughter Mariah meeting him for the first time.

"Mariah picked up Solomon and just started crying with joy," shares Kody Brown. "My second daughter was holding my newest boy and it was beautiful… And the rest of the family got to come. It was wonderful."

Robyn Brown, who gave birth to Solomon in the family home, shares, "Having everyone come in and fall in love with him was just heartwarming. Who doesn't want to know that their child is loved by a whole big family? I had all these kids come in and moms falling in love with him. He has a list 21 deep of people loving him. There is not a lack of love."

The 33-year-old is already the mother of three children from a previous marriage, but Solomon is the first to have light hair! "He looks like Kody," she says. "All my babies before had dark, curly hair. He is so cute. He looks like a little Brown baby. He has a sweet, peaceful spirit."

"Sister Wives," which showcases the patriarch's life with his wives, premiered in September 2010 and drew controversy over its premise. It is currently on its third season. Robyn Brown's home birth will be shown on the November 27 season finale. "Sister Wives" airs on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.

Kody Brown, a 43-year-old advertising salesman, is legally married to just his first wife, Meri, and was last year investigated for felony bigamy but did not face charges. If convicted, he could be sentenced to up to five years in prison.

The family moved to Nevada following the inquiry. In July, the family filed a filed a federal lawsuit in a bid to have polygamy decriminalized in Utah.
