Dancing with the Stars Norway

Isdans


In the spring of 2007, TV 2 aired a programme called Isdans (en: Figure Skating), in which six celebrities have been paired with professional skaters. The show is similar to Dancing with the Stars, with the difference being that figure skating rather than ballroom dancing is performed. The participants were:

Pål Anders Ullevålseter, Rally motor cyclist, partnered by Anna Pouchkov
Anette Bøe, Retired cross-country skier, partnered by Aleksandr Smokvin
Jim Marthinsen, Retired ice hockey player, partnered by Kaja Hanevold
During one of her rehearsals, Dorthe Skappel fell and smashed her face into the ice. Because of this incident, TV 2 did not produce more seasons.




Skal vi danse

Skal vi danse is the Norwegian edition of the British television series, Strictly Come Dancing, and the American television series, Dancing with the Stars. The Norwegian edition is produced by Monster Entertainment and broadcast on TV 2 Jon Peder Olrud and Geir Bie were producers in the first season. The second and third seasons were produced by Ingvild Daae. The series premiered on TV 2 on January 15, 2006. Skal vi danse in Norwegian language means shall we dance. In suite dancing celebrities with professional dancers and companies will be reviewed by a panel of judges and the TV viewers. Each pair consists of a celebrity and a professional dancer. The couple with the fewest votes will not participate in the next round.
The series has had high ratings in Norway, with an average of between 600,000 and 700,000 viewers. Autumn of 2008 set the record with 733,000 viewers on average in the season premiere. Only the final episodes of the program have had higher numbers.
