Jenna Fischer of "The Office" has a new baby boy -- and it turns out she's had him for a while now.
The actress and husband Lee Kirk, a writer, welcomed son Weston Lee on Sept. 24, her rep told People exclusively. This is a first child for the couple, who were married in July 2010.
After what Fischer had described as an easy pregnancy, "Mom and baby are doing great," the rep said Monday. The baby on board was announced in May, with Fischer revealing the "It's a boy" part in a chat with Jay Leno in July.
The 37-year-old actress first announced that she and her screenwriter husband were expecting their first child together back in May. She revealed she was having a boy in July during an appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno". Asked by host Jay Leno if her parents were thrilled to have their first grandchild, she corrected, "This is the second grandchild, but first grandson."
While she is a first time mother in real life, Jenna is going to have another child on screen. Her character on "The Office", Pam, has had a daughter named Cecelia Marie Halpert with husband Jim, played by John Krasinski, on season 6, and at the beginning of season 8, it was unraveled that the couple are expecting their second child.
In July, she told Jay Leno on The Tonight Show she was having a boy.
During her pregnancy, she shared her cravings and admitted she was virtually sailing through the nine months.
"In the beginning, it was a lot of macaroni and cheese and Lucky Charms. Now it's a lot of strawberries," she said. "I've been really lucky. I’ve had a really easy pregnancy."
The actress has spoken in the past of her excitement about having children, saying that after becoming an aunt, "I already wanted kids, but even more so now."
Fischer and Kirk were engaged in 2009 while both were vacationing in Europe and got married in July 2010, with Survivor's Jeff Probst officiating the ceremony.
