GoDaddy.com Bowl extends contract with Sun Belt

Mobile's GoDaddy.com Bowl has its participating conferences locked down for at least six more games. The postseason game, to be played on Sunday Jan. 6, 2013 this season at Ladd-Peebles Stadium, has signed a four-year extension with the Sun Belt Conference and Mid-American Conference to provide teams for the game.

GoDaddy.com Bowl president Jerry Silverstein, Sun Belt commissioner Karl Benson and MAC commissioner Jon Steinbrecher made a joint announcement of the contract extension at a press conference at the Mobile Marriott Tuesday afternoon. Each of the men noted the extension is something that not only was desired by all parties, but an important step in the future of the game and the two leagues.

Bowl President Jerry Silverstein, MAC Commissioner Jon Steinbrecher and Sun Belt Commissioner Karl Benson announced the four-year extension at a news conference on Monday. It carries the affiliations through the 2017 season.
The MAC has been affiliated with the bowl game for 12 years and the Sun Belt for the past three.
The next  GoDaddy.com  Bowl will be played Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
