Volleyball Hosts Dig Pink Breast Match vs. Morgan St.‎

Canandaigua, N.Y. —This month in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness the CA Boys and Girls Volleyball programs are "digging pink." That is, throughout the month of October the girls will be wearing pink jerseys while the boys will wear pink shoelaces. During every home match you will be able to participate in a 50/50 raffle where a majority of the proceeds will be donated to CA freshman, Courtney Wagner who was recently diagnosed with cancer. Checks can be made payable to, "The Courtney Wagner Fund at Canandaigua National Bank."


We hear a great deal about cancer and its impact on millions yet it does not truly hit home until one who is close has been stricken with the disease. Courtney is not a volleyball player however she is a fellow classmate and the volleyball program stands behind her as she embarks on a fight for life and a fight against cancer. Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

The Lady Bison will host Morgan State on Sunday Oct. 16 in Burr Gymnasium for its annual Dig Pink match. First serve is set for 3 p.m. Come show your support at the game by wearing pink and making a donation. If you are unable to make the game, you can still show your support online by making a donation at www.komen.org.
