Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale Get Tattoos

While celebrating a girls' night out in advance of New York Fashion Week last week, High School besties Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens decided to score themselves a rather permanent bodily accessory—namely, new tats.

But no, these Disney alums didn't go the cutesy route and get matching ink. So what did they get—and more intriguingly, where did they get it?

Well, after paying a late night visit to famous tattoo artist Bang Bang at Manhattan's East Side Ink last Wednesday, the 26-year-old Tisdale opted to get the words "jamais seule" etched onto the side of her left foot. Translated, the French phrase means "never alone."

As for Hudgens, the 22-year-old got the symbol for "Om" inked on the back of her hands, so that they form the mantra when she assumes the prayer position.

Afterwards, Tisdale referenced their outing in a tweet to Vanessa's younger sister, Stella.

Vanessa Hudgens, who ended her relationship with another fellow High School Music star, Zac Efron, earlier this year says her tattoos make her feel like a "badass." Perhaps, she and Ashley Tisdale were inspired by the designs at Fashion Week, and decided to get a little body art to go along with their new clothes.

Even thought their High School Musical days are behind them, the girls remain close friends. It's good to see that their friendship was not rocked when Vanessa and Zac broke up. Ashley Tisdale, who is close with both the actors must have felt torn between her two friends.

However, both Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron handled the break up in a very mature way. This likely made the situation much easier for Ashley Tisdale, who has said she loves both of her best friends equally.
