Ducrou says in a press release, “Many overseas festivals, and other
Australian events, offer VIP tickets and it’s something our patrons have
been asking us about. We withheld a very small allocation of tickets to
provide it as an exclusive offer this year.”
What do you get for your money? There’s access to the VIP Express Lane entry and the exclusive Gold Bar and its facilities. They’ll also be able to mingle with the artists, media and industry in a VIP area, as well as side-of-stage viewing and direct entry to the VIP toilets. Nice.
The tickets are available for 700 clams (plus a booking fee) but those who already have tickets can tack on another $350 to get an upgrade. The very limited Gold Passes go on sale from moshtix.com.au and at 1300 GET TIX (438 849) from midday this Friday 8 June.
The Gold Bar is located right beside the Supertop main stage and features a luxuriously hip indoor space kitted out with a great bar, fab food and comfortable surroundings, as well as a lovely garden area with outdoor settings amongst the trees.
VIP Gold Pass ticketholders will have the chance to mingle with artists, media and industry insiders. They’ll have access to the side-of-stage viewing area. And there’s also direct entry to the VIP toilets!!

From Tuesday 5 June 2012, a reissue and a resale facility will be available via moshtix.com.au for those who have bought Splendour In the Grass event tickets or North Beach Campground tickets but can no longer use them. The REISSUE facility will allow a ticketholder to reissue their ticket to another person by changing the name and DOB on the ticket via their Moshfile. The RESALE facility will allow a ticketholder to place their ticket back up for sale to another person, giving the original ticketholder the opportunity to get their money back (minus fees) and giving someone who missed out in the main sale an opportunity to nab a genuine ticket (*subject to availability).
