Carl Dix

Carl Dix is the national spokesman for the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA. He is a close friend of Bob Avakian. Carl Dix was a member of the United States Army, but when he was called to go to Vietnam he refused. He served two years in prison as a result of this action. He then joined the Black Workers Congress. The BWC was part of the Revolutionary Union. He met Bob Avakian and had a life-changing conversation with him, in which Avakian convinced him that his line of Identity politics was incorrect. Carl Dix has since become a leader of the RCP, and an outspoken activist for that organization. Dix has been the party's "anti-candidate" for President of the United States, not appearing on any ballots, as an indication of the party's contempt for democratic politics. He is now a member of the Revolutionary Communist Four, a speaking tour traveling throughout the country to drum up support for the RCP.
