Sarah Palin, viciously fights divorce from Todd Palin

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin seems prepared to challenge assertions made by Joe McGinnis, the author of a controversial book chronicling the potential Republican presidential candidate.

An attorney for Ms. Palin is threatening to sue over a new book, saying the book defames both Ms. Palin and her husband, Todd Palin, and contains “a series of lies and rumors.”

“It is malicious for your company to publish a book wherein it, and the author, admit that they were fully aware the statements in the book were false, intended to be false, and were intended to harm,” Ms. Palin’s attorney wrote.

The book, “The Rogue,” by Mr. McGinniss, has received widespread attention since McGinniss moved in next door to Ms. Palin to begin writing in 2010.

John Tiemessen, in a letter to the books publisher, Crown Publishing Group, on Monday, cites an email that Mr. McGinniss allegedly sent a blogger in January seeking substantiation for several rumors that have surrounded Ms. Palin’s family. That email was posted online last week by Andrew Breitbart.

Palin is fighting author Joe McGinnis and publishers of the book, "The Rogue." The book contains a number of derogatory things said by multiple sources about the potential Republican Presidential candidate and her family. Her legal team is taking action to sue Random House for allowing "tawdry gossip" to be released, ABC reports. Does this include rumors that Todd Palin wants to divorce her as well?

Palin is upset so many unnamed sources were quoted in McGinnis' book. The National Equirer later spoke with a source who said Sarah's husband, Todd, wanted to divorce her after she had an alleged affair with a business partner of his, Brad Hanson, years before.

Todd Palin was rumored to be so "fed up" with the scandals involving his family that he wanted to divorce his wife. He put rumors to rest when he expressed his disapproval of the book on Facebook.
