The New Oxford Half Marathon

Welcome to the unofficial helper of the Oxford City Half Marathon

This exciting new road race is being staged from our Race HQ at the superb Kassam Stadium Complex, incorporating excellent changing and shower facilities for all competitors at the Ozone Leisure Club.

The one-lap course is fast and flat which makes it suitable for runners of all abilities, who will delight in racing through this historic scenic city whose famous ‘dreaming spires’ of its medieval churches and colleges dominate the skyline and where on 6th May 1954, 25 year old Roger Bannister broke the 4 minute mile at Iffley Road’s athletics track to record a landmark world record time of 3:59.4 in front of 3,000 spectators.

We are delighted to have such a notable main sponsor as MINI Plant Oxford – home to production of the MINI at their Oxford facility, and where the race route passes through just after the 2 mile marker.

We are also extremely proud to be partnering local charity Helen and Douglas House, whose Oxford base provides the very best in hospice care for children and young adults. We look forward to raising awareness as well as money for this very worthy cause.

Come and join us on 25th September for what promises to be a memorable race and a day of activities for all the family – live the dream and run in the city where the most historic athletic achievement took place.
