Emily Deschanel and David Hornsby are the parents of a new baby boy, Henry Hornsby, a first child for the acting duo.
Henry was born Wednesday to "Bones" star Deschanel, 34, and her "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" alum husband, her rep confirmed to People magazine. The two got married not quite a year ago in Pacific Palisades, with their one-year anniversary coming up on Sunday.
Like Alicia Silverstone before her, Deschanel stuck to her longtime vegan diet during her pregnancy. Deschanel went vegan -- no meat, eggs, dairy or wearing leather -- 18 years ago, and told Ladies Home Journal this summer that she had to defend her dietary choice even more while pregnant because "people don't understand." (The Ministry had a harder time understanding Silverstone's baby name, actually, but that's another story.)
Deschanel's pregnancy has been worked into her character Temperance Brennan's story line on "Bones," Entertainment Weekly reported. The show costarring David Boreanaz will premiere a bit later than most, on Nov. 3, with an emphasis in the first half of the season on Bones' preparation for motherhood.
Deschanel confirmed to E! News she was expecting their first child together back in March, which of course, brought on speculation of whether or not Dr. Brennan would be expecting also.
