Dancing With The Stars' Mark Ballas splits from American Idol's Pia Toscano

After creating one of the most talented couples reality TV has seen, Mark Ballas and Pia Toscano's relationship has danced its course. The pair first started making the rounds as a couple in April, after fueling much speculation that the "Dancing with the Stars" and "American Idol" worlds had collided.

But five months later, E! Online confirms that the couple has called it quits. The singer and dancer's demanding careers may be what's to blame for their split -- Toscano is currently working on her first album and Ballas is getting busy with "DWTS" partner Kristen Cavallari.

"They both decided with everything going on that they couldn't give each other what would be fair," a source told People of Ballas, 25, and Toscano's, 22, split. "They mutually decided this."

The 22-year-old singer and 25-year-old dancer are said to have amicably split over career related strains on the relationship, according to E! Online.
Mark is currently rehearsing for the upcoming 13th season of the hit dance competition while Pia is in the middle of recording her new album and completing the American Idol tour.
There have also been rumours of a blossoming relationship between Mark and his current dance partner - The Hills star Kristin Cavallari.
The pair got the relationship rumour mill going earlier this week after they were spotted getting cozy together at Marix Tex-Mex restaurant in West Hollywood.

According to Star Magazine: 'She was sitting on his lap while he was nuzzling her neck.'
'They were having dinner with Derek Hough but didn’t pay him any attention. They were consumed with each other. You can tell she is really into him. Kristin was having a great time! They definitely look like more than friends!'
Kristin became single back in July when her fiance, NFL quarterback Jay Cutler, called off their wedding.
The 13th season of Dancing with The Stars is set to premiere on September 19.
