Carol Burnett's Appearance On All My Children

Stage and screen vet Carol Burnett will return to ABC's 'All My Children' September 6 and 7. Burnett first appeared in the daytime drama in 1983 and has guest starred several times since then.

Six-time Emmy Award winner Burnett has demonstrated such versatility since ending the 11 year run of the The Carol Burnett Show that she is now as widely recognized for her dramatic abilities as she is for her comedic and musical talents. Americans fondly consider Carol Burnett a true living legend in entertainment, having bestowed more People's Choice Awards upon her than any other woman in the award show's history.

Check out the preview of Carol Burnett reprising her role as Verla, the long-lost daughter of Langley Wallingford, on All My Children!
She'll be returning to the series on September 6th, and we think it's fantastic that she's coming back before the show ends in its current form.

In 2003 she was a recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors and in 2005 received The Presidential Medal of Freedom. Some of her other notable awards include five Golden Globes, the Peabody Award for Friendly Fire, and the Ace Award for Between Friends with Elizabeth Taylor. She has enjoyed the kind of career that most performers are only able to dream of, moving seamlessly from the stage to television, from feature films to films for television, and from variety specials to music and comedy specials.
